Located at the heart of historic Lindley Park and Sunset Hills on the corner of Walker and Elam Avenues. Common Grounds is one of the best coffee shops in Greensboro. Our originality stems from the variety of experiences that we offer. In addition to coffee, we serve a variety of wine and draft and bottled craft beers. Our art gallery, movie theater, vintage arcade/pool room, and vast selection of board games create a space where people of all ages can have a great time.
Greensboro’s Best Coffee
We serve our own special blend that we call the Lindley Park Blend. It’s a medium roast that goes down smooth. You can get it hot or cold or even buy a pound to brew for yourself! We offer hot, iced, or frozen drinks: decaf, sugar-free, skim, almond, or soy substitutes, and coffee-free drinks like chai, hot chocolate, or a flavored frozen creme. With tons of different flavors and sugar-free choices, you can mix and create flavors till your heart’s content. Most drinks can be served however you’d like: hot, iced, or frozen.
We host live music four nights a week from Wednesdays to Saturdays. Whether you come for our standing Wednesday night show by Shiloh Hill, open mic on Thursday evenings or one of our featured weekend shows, you’ll always find great people, great music, and an amazing selection of coffee, beer, and wine.
Check out our calendar to see upcoming bands and other events including Mystery Movie Mondays.
Our art gallery features a constantly rotating display of works from local artists curated by Marshall Lakes. If you see a piece that you love, everything is for sale, so feel free to purchase it for yourself or a friend!
Our small boutique movie theater incorporates professional 5.1 Dolby surround sound and an 8′ wide screen. It’s perfect for enjoying your favorite past or current flick. Check with us for showtimes or to inquire about a specific movie.
